About these terms
Jarami ("Jarami", "we", "us") is a family self-management app for children, operated by Jitda Holdings, based in Auckland, New Zealand. These Terms of Service govern your use of the Jarami app and the website at jarami.app (together, the "Service").
Your privacy is covered separately in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
Who can use Jarami
- You must be 18 or older to create an account. Jarami is set up and managed by a parent, guardian, or teacher.
- Children use the Service as profiles under an adult's account (with an optional child code) — they do not create their own independent accounts.
- By creating an account, you confirm you have the authority to accept these terms and to add the children or students in your care.
Your account
- You're responsible for keeping your login details and any PINs secure, and for activity that happens under your account.
- Please give accurate information when you sign up, and keep it up to date.
- Tell us promptly at hello@jarami.app if you believe your account has been used without your permission.
Children & parental responsibility
Jarami is a tool to support parenting and teaching — it does not replace your own judgement. As the managing adult, you decide the routines, rewards, screen-time and content for the children in your care, and you are responsible for supervising their use of the Service.
You agree that any information you enter about a child is information you are entitled to provide, and that you consent to it being handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
Acceptable use
Please use Jarami fairly and lawfully. You agree not to:
- Use the Service for anything unlawful, harmful, or abusive, or to harm a child.
- Upload content that is illegal, hateful, or that infringes someone else's rights.
- Attempt to access other families' or schools' data, break security, or disrupt the Service.
- Copy, resell, or reverse-engineer the Service except as the law allows.
Your content
- You own your content. Routines, journals, photos, notes and other things you create stay yours. We don't claim ownership of them.
- You grant us only the limited permission needed to store and display your content back to your own family or class so the Service works — nothing more. We never use it for advertising.
- Your content is kept private to your family or class, as described in the Privacy Policy. You can edit or delete it, or delete your account, at any time.
Plans & payment
- Jarami is currently free to use while we build the product with our first families and schools.
- We may introduce paid plans in future. If we do, we'll show the price clearly and ask you to agree before any charge, and paid features will be optional.
- If we ever process payments, they'll be handled by a trusted payment provider; we won't store your full card details.
Our intellectual property
The Jarami name, logo, design, and software are owned by us and protected by intellectual-property laws. You may use the Service for your family or school, but you may not copy or use our brand or software outside what these terms allow.
Service availability
We work hard to keep Jarami running well, but we provide the Service on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may update, change, or pause features to improve the app or for maintenance, and we may occasionally have downtime. We'll try to keep any disruption to a minimum.
Disclaimers & limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Jarami is provided without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or other rights that cannot legally be excluded.
Ending your use
- You can stop using Jarami and delete your account at any time from within the app, or by emailing hello@jarami.app.
- We may suspend or end access if these terms are seriously or repeatedly broken, or where needed to protect children or the Service.
Changes & governing law
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify account holders. Continuing to use Jarami after a change means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand, and the New Zealand courts will have jurisdiction over any dispute.
